Through the advent of artificial intelligence, artificial immortality is no longer science fiction, it's on the brink of being science fact. With the science now available to upload our memories and essentially make a copy of ourselves inside a robot shell it opens up a myriad of ethical and sociological debates which can be applied to technology itself and how fast it is all moving. Just because we can do something...does it mean that we should? We talked with Writer/Director Ann Shin about the inspiration for the film, the debate on both sides of the aisle, the importance of bringing up issues like this in documentary filmmaking and how the art of it all is evolving before our very eyes...
